Although the collage is mainly seen as a child with Glue stick, scissors and old magazines produced works of art, but a century ago, collage is the level towards the development of modern art. When Picasso in 1912, joined in his work a piece of colored canvas, George Braques and Juan Gris mosaic materials will also be applied to the works, blending into a very popular art.

Dadaists。 Since the Cubists, the further emergence of Dadaists. Artists such as Hannah Hoch, Max Ernst, and Kurt Schwitters and so increased their bets: splicing does not increase, but it is the heart and soul of their work. These artists began to use the materials for splicing, but few and artistic capital of link you want to break the traditional way. Dadaists and other artists, Schwitters so-called "opportunity to meet the object," the call of the ticket, receipts, price tags, fabrics, graphics, photographs, stamps, stickers, everything can be a collage of things that have to work for.

Many artists and art critics that in the 19th century, 20 years to 30 years, will be the century of collage art, collage is not as imagined in advance, but it did not disappear. John Evans。 It evolved into the amazing Ray Johnson mail art, collage a day more than three years of John Evans. Of course, and he created with artist Robert Rauschenberg is one of the largest.

The collage appreciation also extends to the traditional stitching. Limit is to use small type splicing material, some amazing, fun, innovative, controversial, some almost a provocation, some are healthy. These artists, some are difficult to distinguish, but their understanding of the mosaic are have the same dedication
